Sundance 2005

It was a Chamber of Commerce day in Fort Collins, Colorado for the 15th Annual Sundance Bluegrass Festival and Chili Cookoff.  Early morning temperatures were quite cool with bright sunny skies warming into the high 70's by afternoon.  Contestants traveled from Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado to compete.  The event included a craft fair with hand made crafts, food vendors  and a silent auction in addition to the chili cookoff.  Music was provided by a variety of Bluegrass groups.  Cloggers also entertained the crowd.  With a good crowd of onlookers and samplers the cooks plied their trade.  In the end - Lyman Wilkinson took both Red and Showmanship while Steve Lee took honors in Green Chili. Christi Batie took home first in the Hot Wing divission. All to the tune of some of the best Bluegrass music this side of West Virginia.
